No, I did not steal anything, get it out of your head.

I have to admit I am a tech junkie. I love gadgets and the internet. The internet has an unlimited amount of resources and we frequently use it for recipes, car repair, tv shows, movies, music, bill pay, phone lookup, directions, you name it and it’s probably there. I hadn’t been to our local library in years. Why would I? I have the Internet at home, movies are available at the click of a mouse or a button on a remote, and quite frankly I do not read much. Not because I do not want too, it puts me to sleep. It always has and I have no idea why. I am sure somone can argue a position of being conditioned this way from being read to as a child, the goodnight stories to relax and bring peace to our parents, is that a far stretch?

Since we have small children the ole library card has seen a lot of action, I mean A LOT, as well the resulting overdue fines that come with the many books we check out at once. So much so that Amazon would have made a small fortune from us if we had bought them. This is where the beauty lies.

Here at the library internet is free, DVD movies are available, as well as new release books, magazines and newspapers all within your fingertips. No more will I pay for that $6.95 magazine, $12.96 best seller from amazon, or the $3.99 five day rental from Blockbuster.

I strongly encourage you to take a trip to your local public library to see what it has to offer. Many of them have the ability to search their catalog from your home and reserve whatever media you choose, as well as receive books from other libraries within your regional library system.

Visit your local library and see what they have to offer, it’s free and your plasectomy will thank you.
