The Government is So Gracious…
I don’t ever comment on politics unless of course it effects my wallet and this stimulus bill does. The House of Representatives just passed its version of the bill and now it will go back to the senate. The only thing I care about right now is what is going back into my pocket towards my plasectomy. One tidbit of information from a CNN article stuck out to me was how much we will be getting back directly from this stimulus.
“Most individuals will get a $400 tax credit, and most couples will get an $800 credit. That amounts to an extra $13 a week in a person’s paycheck, starting in June. That’s less than what Obama campaigned on — $500 for individuals and $1,000 per couple.”
Wow, a whopping $13. I’ll take anything I can get, but come on….Just send me a check for the $800 so I can send it on a bring me one step closer relief.

I understand the frustration about $13.00 “extra” in our paycheck.
However, I have to look at the brighter side of this “credit” thing–and “spending package”—I AM EMPLOYED. I receive a paycheck every two weeks, and those earnings/wages I use to pay down my debt and enjoy my life. As long as I am employed, a roof over my head, and food in my cupboards…I am not going to complain about the lack of tax-credit promised. I may complain about the amount of Debt our nation is racking up.
I may also complain about:
How the hard working individuals get kicked in the teeth with the AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) and tax deductions, thresholds. UGG! (I guess this is what happens when one is single, with a good job, and student loan interest…at some point it’s not a deduction)!
