A second job, I thought this would be easy. My plasectomy is hurting.

I have been hunting for a second job for the past couple weeks and this is more difficult than I thought it would be. The mission was simple, stop by several pizzerias and ask if they were hiring, apply, and Cha-Ching…you’re hired. I went to five local places including your standard chains, Domino’s and Pizza Hut, as they are the only national chains in our town. I filled out applications stopped by several times asking and the answer I received is that will call you when our manager looks it over.

I have even used my extremely small “network” and tried to get a job at the pizza shop that I worked at in college. I spoke with the owner as he knows me from my previous employment through him, my sister who is still in college works for him at one of his establishments a.k.a. a bar and also dates his son. Sure thing right? Nope. Apparently he doesn’t run the pizza place much anymore and has a manager that does the hiring, scheduling, etc. I have tried getting in touch with this guy and it seems impossible. He works the day shift as do I, I call and can’t get ahold of him plus he doesn’t return my calls. Wow, this is sounding like some sort relationship gone sour.

What do I do?

Well last night we did it. We spent nearly 3 hours looking over everything. What is coming in, what is going out. Made some preparation planning for future disasters, Christmas spending, etc and we found out that there is a whole lotta month left after the well runs dry. My job today is to cancel our cable, cut back our cell phone bill and find more areas that we can reduce spending. This is going to be HARD!

I could care less about the cable, I rarely watch TV, but my children do. Not a lot, just during those times that mom needs to make dinner or whatever. Anyway I have to cut this short as I need to get ready for work. Wish me luck.
